Your tutor

Good company.

Expert guidance.

Jane McCall is a Bloomsbury-inspired painter and designer, and co-founder of Bloomsbury Revisited with her friend Jane Howard. Taking her cue from Charleston Farmhouse and the artists of the Bloomsbury Set, Jane hand-paints lampshades, lamp bases and wallpapers from their Sussex studio, in what the two Janes call "a quirky, rather bohemian enterprise".

The business began in 2020, after Jane taught a lampshade painting course and they realised there was nothing quite like it on the market. Her designs now range from summery florals to "Thistle", a bespoke shade created for Balmoral Castle, alongside whimsical wallpapers such as Pea & Lily and Fables. A teacher as well as a painter, Jane runs workshops where people paint their own lampshades and furniture, and she brings that same generous, colourful approach to Court House Farm.
